Hsinchu, Taiwan, November 16, 2022 – GlobalWafers’ efforts in green manufacturing and its sustainable development are deeply recognized and wins the National Enterprise Environmental Protection Award from the Executive Yuan and the Taiwan Enterprise Sustainability Award from the Taiwan Academy of Corporate Sustainability (TACS).
Sponsored by the Environmental Protection Administration of the Executive Yuan, the National Enterprise Environmental Protection Award is the highest honor for domestic enterprises and is only given to the enterprises with outstanding performances on environmental sustainability, social responsibility and corporate governance. GlobalWafers Hsinchu plant has won the awards for two consecutive years, showing its dedications and improvements in environmental protection, energy and resource conservation, pollution control and community volunteering.
In addition, the Taiwan Academy of Corporate Sustainability (TACS) elects exemplary Taiwan enterprises every year with comprehensive evaluation in their ESG performances in sustainability vision and strategies, corporate governance and finance, climate action and energy management, environmental sustainability and social inclusion. GlobalWafers is awarded the “Taiwan Top 100 Sustainability Award” and ” Corporate Sustainability Report – Silver Award” with its green manufacturing and transparent information disclosure.
