GlobalWafers’ Singapore Subsidiary Participates in SparkAbility 2026, Supporting Inclusion and Mental Well-being Through Action

In September 2026, GlobalWafers’ Singapore subsidiary participated in SparkAbility 2026: A Walk for Change, a charity walk held at Gardens by the Bay. Five colleagues joined the event, demonstrating their support for disability inclusion, mental well-being, and community care while strengthening GlobalWafers’ engagement with the local community.

SparkAbility 2026 was jointly organized by Singapore social service agency SPD and Samaritans of Singapore (SOS). Focusing on disability inclusion, mental health, and suicide prevention, the event used the charity walk and community engagement activities to raise public awareness and foster greater understanding of diverse life experiences.

The event brought together approximately 4,000 participants and raised more than S$780,000. The funds will support SPD and SOS in continuing their programs related to disability inclusion, mental health, and suicide prevention. The event also featured the “Window of Hope” exhibition, which shared personal stories and lived experiences to help participants gain deeper insight into the challenges faced by persons with disabilities and those affected by suicide loss, fostering greater understanding and empathy within the community.

During the event, the GlobalWafers Singapore team completed the walk alongside other participants and had the opportunity to walk and interact with some of the beneficiaries. Through this hands-on participation, colleagues experienced firsthand the power of a community coming together in support of inclusion and mental well-being. The activity also provided an opportunity for team bonding outside the workplace, translating awareness of social issues into meaningful action.

GlobalWafers continues to encourage its operations around the world to engage in community and charitable initiatives that respond to local needs, putting its sustainability values into practice across different countries and communities. The Singapore team’s participation in SparkAbility 2026 reflects GlobalWafers’ commitment to diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, and social well-being, while fostering stronger connections between employees, local partners, and the communities in which GlobalWafers operates.

This initiative also contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. GlobalWafers will continue to connect its global operations, employees, and local partners through socially meaningful engagement and collaboration, contributing to a more inclusive, caring, and resilient society.
