From July to August, GlobalWafers’ Taiwan sites hosted Wellness Month, offering eight workshops and learning sessions with 243 total employee attendances. Spanning mental well-being, emotional awareness and communication, nutrition, art, gardening, and creative activities, the program was designed around everyday work and life, giving employees practical ways to recharge, manage stress, and better understand their physical and emotional well-being.
🎨 A Creative Pause for a Busy Mind
Zentangle®, horticultural activities, marble-pattern planter making, and scented floral wax workshops gave employees a chance to shift their focus from work to creativity. Drawing, mixing colors, planting, and arranging flowers encouraged participants to slow down, focus on the present, and enjoy the satisfaction of creating something by hand.
The finished plants, planters, and scented pieces could also be brought back to the office or home, extending that sense of relaxation into everyday life.
🌦️ Understanding Emotions, Building Better Communication
Mental wellness sessions focused on common workplace challenges such as stress, emotions, and communication. Through an “Emotional Weather Forecast,” stress check-ins, and an “Emotion Regulation Bingo,” employees learned to recognize how they feel and explore ways to recharge.
Workplace scenarios and perspective-taking exercises also helped participants understand their own reactions under pressure and consider others’ viewpoints—useful skills for cross-functional teamwork, challenging conversations, and busy workdays.
🥗 Small Choices for Better Health
Nutrition sessions started with a familiar question: “Why do we feel tired after lunch?” Employees learned how blood sugar, meal order, muscle activity, and metabolism affect energy levels, along with simple tips such as changing the order of foods and taking a short walk after meals.
Through familiar examples from convenience stores, buffets, and hot pot meals, employees learned how small adjustments to food choices and portions can make healthier eating a natural part of everyday life.
💚 From Individual Well-Being to a More Resilient and Supportive Workplace
Throughout the two-month Wellness Month program, employees were able to participate according to their interests and needs. From creative relaxation and emotional awareness to communication and healthy eating, the diverse activities helped bring well-being beyond individual sessions and into everyday work and life.
Employee health and well-being are an important part of GlobalWafers’ commitment to social sustainability and human capital development. Through Wellness Month, GlobalWafers continues to integrate health promotion into the workplace, strengthening employees’ awareness of physical and mental well-being and their ability to practice self-care, while fostering positive interactions and a supportive work environment.
