GlobalWafers achieved an A Leadership rating, the highest distinction, in “Water Security” in the 2025 assessment conducted by CDP. CDP is one of the world’s most credible environmental disclosure and evaluation platforms, assessing corporate sustainability management performance across key areas including climate change, water security, and forest sustainability through a comprehensive framework that covers governance, strategy, risk management, actions, and performance outcomes.

In the 2025 assessment, GlobalWafers advanced from an A- in 2024 to an A Leadership rating in “Water Security.” The Company also maintained a B Management rating in “Climate Change,” reflecting its continued efforts to strengthen environmental governance and steadily advance climate action.

In terms of water security, GlobalWafers achieved A-level recognition across 7 of the 11 assessment categories, including business strategy, opportunity disclosure, targets, risk disclosure, environmental policies, dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities process, and governance, highlighting the Company’s strong emphasis on and long-term commitment to water resource management. GlobalWafers regards water resource management as a critical foundation for operational resilience and supply chain stability. The Company continues to invest in improving process water efficiency, expanding wastewater recycling and reuse systems, and strengthening water risk identification and management mechanisms to reduce environmental impact. These efforts have delivered tangible results: in 2024, total water withdrawal decreased by 575.9 million liters compared with 2023, and the water recycling rate at the Company’s Taiwan sites reached nearly 60%, demonstrating ongoing improvements in water management performance.

With respect to climate action, GlobalWafers follows the SBTi and has formally committed to setting science-based greenhouse gas reduction targets, with a long-term target to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the entire value chain by 2050. Since joining the RE100 initiative in 2022, the Company has continued to accelerate renewable energy adoption by improving energy efficiency, advancing low-carbon processes and equipment optimization, and implementing a diversified strategy that includes Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), and self-developed renewable energy facilities. In June 2025, GlobalWafers further announced that it would accelerate the timeline for achieving 100% renewable energy usage across all subsidiaries under the RE100 initiative, advancing the original target from 2050 to 2040. This move underscores the Company’s proactive ambition to respond to the development of a sustainable semiconductor value chain.

Guided by its philosophy of “Responsible Growth,” GlobalWafers continues to advance environmental initiatives and accelerate the Group’s green transformation through cross-site knowledge sharing and best-practice exchange. Looking ahead, GlobalWafers will further strengthen the execution of relevant strategies and measures, working together with value chain partners to move toward a more resilient and sustainable future.
