GlobalWafers today announced its March 2021 revenue: consolidated revenues were NT$5.70 billion, the best in the history, an increase of 25.24% from February 2021 and an increase of 12.99% from March 2020. Revenues in the first quarter 2021 totaled NT$14.81 billion, an increase of 4.72 % compared to the fourth quarter 2020 and an increase of 9.55% in the same period in 2020, consecutively grows for 5 quarters.
Regarding the outlook, government stimulus and vaccination deployment are estimated to bring economic recovery. Remote-working, learning and migration to online activities and cloud services will continue post COVID-19. Automotive, AI, IoT, high-performance computing, power semiconductor components, 5G and smart healthcare will underpin the demands for high quality silicon wafers globally. GlobalWafers has been dedicated in the advanced processes and will keep improving the niche products weight in the revenue in order to generate more profit and to cement the sustainable growth.
