GlobalWafers’ Japan subsidiary, MEMC Japan, has received “Kirari” Award from Utsunomiya-city. “Kirari” means shining star. This award was given to the company who worked actively to promote employee friendly workplaces regardless genders. Along with MEMC Japan, there were 6 other companies awarding in the award ceremony. The reasons for this award are as follows:
1. Female managers development activities.
2. Intensive supports for childcare and balancing work.
3. Job opportunities for over 65 years age.
